I've been living in London for the last 2 years but my family home is about 45 mins away from London so I was always up here as a kid.

Don't wanna be anywhere else in England now, I'm making London my home :p

Nice shot! Maybe more saturation and/or contrast would make it even better?

I love the hazyness/mist and concept :)

I run the website department for IPC Media's [link] Country and Leisure division.

We're actually going to be rebuilding AP and WDC's websites in Jan - our first big project of the year. Should be much fun :)

Unfortunately I can't enter their comps, being an employee. However I did win one round of a comp in Digital Camera Magazine (for Lisa on the bed), and I've been published in Practical Photographer and Digital Photography Techniques. Just send shit in and see what happens.

wow, am loving the composition, and the soft hues. did you PS anything? because the bubble looks it's got a nice chromatic "glow" to it. Nice dude.

yeah, i knew there would be loadsa shots uploaded like this from the meed so wanted to try and make mine different and stand out from the crowd. I slightly upped the saturation, painted a gradiented orange layer to emphasise the hirizon colour and blended it in with different layers and blending modes, and created that orange colour cast on the london eye pod in the same way, then i used a simular technique to make the thames water a crisper blue as it was more dirty and grey in the original photo, then i used the dodge and burn tools to create a glow around the pod, make the people look more like silluettes and to make it look as if the glass caught the sun more.....

well theres my method, seems as you asked so nicely :p thnx for commenting

it's funny isn't it? that the hardest "manips" are the ones that seem the most 'invisible' and yet it's what makes a piece stand out the most.

good job!

Ditto - somebody the other day was upset because a friend accused him of merely being a 'capturer of scenes' and not a proper 'artist'. But photography literally means 'painting with light' - which is exactly what you've done :)
